Remuneration
Since a considerable time, there are critical reflections in Europe regarding the financial support for renewable energies- particularly for photovoltaics; costs which finally every consumer must bear (in Luxembourg via the Compensation Fonds: Personal contribution visible on the monthly bill). Without this support, most people and companies would not invest for financial reasons in renewable energies.
The global price for electricity, produced from fossil fuels, will continue to increase even without this financial contribution; the increased production of photovoltaic components has already reduced the investment costs thanks to the support and public funding has been already downgraded accordingly. Besides protecting the environment, each consumer thus contributes to further reduce the investment costs so that in few years no financial support is anymore required: Electricity produced from photovoltaic installations will become cheaper than the one produced from fossil sources. A situation everybody will finally profit from.
The remuneration TPV for electricity - generated by photovoltaic systems (installed on or integrated in a building) and injected in the public network starting January 1st 2008 -is calculated regardless of your status (individual, company, authority) depending of the power output:
> smaller or equal to 30 kWp:
TPV(P)= 420*(1-(n-2008)*3/100)/1000 €/kWh
> higher than 30kWp up to 1 MWp:
TPV(G)= 370*(1-(n-2008)*3/100)/1000 €/kWh
where n is the calendar year of the first injection (n ≥2008); remuneration rounded to 2 decimal places.
For 2011, the remuneration amounts to 0,38€/kWh for an installation smaller or equal to 30kWp (without VAT)
Mémorial A16 dated February 12th 2008 (Chapter5, Article 8)
The remuneration and the amount is guaranteed for a period of 15 years starting first injection.
Remarks:
-
After the 15 years with guaranteed remuneration, the electricity sales price is set by the grid operator according to the applicable market prices.
-
For larger systems >1 MWp and photovoltaic plants not installed on buildings (eg. solar parks), the sales price is fixed according the current market price
-
If you want to invest in a photovoltaic installation, you should not wait too long as the financial support is adjusted to the market price:
In the previous support period (installations
before 2008), the financial help for an individual represented 50%
of the investment cost with a maximum of 4.000€/kWp and the
remuneration consisted of a state premium
(0.55€/kWh
for
2001
und 2002; 0.50€/kWh
for 2003, 0.45 €/kWh
from 2004
to
2007) in addition to
the electricity selling price (ca. 0,07 €/kWp)
- guaranteed for a period of 20 years!
This premium must be however queried each year by the operator of
the photovoltaic installation.
-
A grant for an energy consulting service may also be asked if the photovoltaic installation results from a analysis to improve the energy efficiency of your building
